Type specimen: NHMM 1998141, a partial skeleton (Nearly complete skull, articulated cervical and anterior dorsal vertebrae with ribs, isolated pygal and sacral vertebrae, scapulocoracoid and scattered appendic). Its type locality is ENCI-Maastricht B.V. quarry (flint layer 18), which is in a Maastrichtian shallow subtidal grainstone in the Gulpen Formation of the Netherlands.
