Type specimen: ZPAL MgR-III/35, a partial skeleton (incomplete skull with mandible). Its type locality is Khermeen Tsav I, Red Beds [PMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian eolian sandstone in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.
