Type specimen: IAA 2000-JR-FSM-1, a partial skeleton (Almost complete and articulated skull, rib fragments and isolated vertebrae). Its type locality is Dinosaurio River, Santa Marta Cove, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marginal marine sandstone in the Santa Marta Formation of Antarctica.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Dinosaurio River, Santa Marta Cove
