Sister taxon: Lithagrion elongatum

Type specimen: MCZ 8616, a wing (2 wing). Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (3: Colorado collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
