Sister taxon: Eoerianthus eocaenicus

Type specimen: MCZ 138 P + 140 P, a hindwing (fragments of hindwing). Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

• Eocene of United States (3: Colorado, Wyoming collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
