Type specimen: CM 71190, a mandible (fragmentary right dentary). Its type locality is Gnat-Out-Of-Hell, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (2: Texas, Utah collections)
