Type specimen: MNHN 1891-14, a partial skull (Anterior part of a skull, including premaxillae, both maxillae and dentaries, preserved in occlusion). Its type locality is Cardesse, which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate marl in the Marnes de Nay Formation of France.

Distribution: found only at Cardesse
