Type specimen: N 1734, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Monte Castellaro (Museo Fiorenzuola collection), which is in a Messinian lagoonal marl in Italy.

Distribution: found only at Monte Castellaro (Museo Fiorenzuola collection)
