Sister taxon: Terpandrus horridus
Type specimen: Iki Museum, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Chojabaru-zaki, Iki Island, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small diatomite in the Chojabaru Formation of Japan.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Chojabaru-zaki, Iki Island
