Sister taxon: Jiaodontus montaltissimus

Type specimen: SGP 2007/39, a tooth (anterior tooth). Its type locality is Liuhuanggou bonebed, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian fluvial siltstone/sandstone in the Qigu Formation of China.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Liuhuanggou bonebed
