Type specimen: MUSM 1444, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton with wing feathering, body contour feathers, and pedal scales). Its type locality is southeast of Playa Yumaque, which is in a Priabonian coastal sandstone in the Otuma Formation of Peru.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at southeast of Playa Yumaque
