Type specimen: PRI 4102, a shell. Its type locality is Charco Azul [Charco Azul Fm], which is in a Pliocene offshore shale in the Charco Azul Formation of Costa Rica.
Distribution: found only at Charco Azul [Charco Azul Fm]
