Type specimen: 404P34A, a mandible (mandible fragment with P/4-M/3). Its type locality is Sahabi Fauna Locality P34A, which is in a Messinian terrestrial horizon in the Sahabi Formation of Libya.
Ecology: amphibious grazer-browser
Distribution: found only at Sahabi Fauna Locality P34A
