Belongs to Leptalestes according to J. P. Hunter et al. 2010
Sister taxa: Leptalestes cooki, Leptalestes krejcii, Leptalestes prokrejcii
Type specimen: MOR 2505, a maxilla (R maxillary fragment with M2-4). Its type locality is Shell Hell (MOR Loc. 703), which is in an Edmontonian fluvial mudstone in the St. Mary River Formation of Montana.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at Shell Hell (MOR Loc. 703)
