Type specimen: UNMSM 1447, a skull. Its type locality is Cerro Colorado (Pisco, Tortonian), which is in a Tortonian marine horizon in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
Ecology: aquatic omnivore
Distribution: found only at Cerro Colorado (Pisco, Tortonian)
