Sister taxon: Maaradactylus kellneri

Type specimen: RGM 401 880, a partial skeleton (Skull and postcrania). Its type locality is Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.

Distribution: found only at Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general)
