Type specimen: TMM 31185-98, a skull (Partial skeleton including skull and lower jaws, postcrania). Its type locality is Otis Chalk Quarry 3A, which is in a Carnian/Norian crevasse splay mudstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas.
