Type specimen: MNHN GDF700, a partial skeleton (snout with articulated upper and lower jaws preserved to mid-orbit on right side). Its type locality is Camp des deux arbres, Gadoufaoua, which is in an Albian terrestrial horizon in the Elrhaz Formation of Niger.
