Type specimen: PIN 31/42/1, a skull (well-preserved skull and first three presacral vertebrae). Its type locality is Khermeen Tsav, Red Beds (PIN coll. 3142) [SMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Khermeen Tsav, Red Beds (PIN coll. 3142) [SMPE]
