Type specimen: MV 5371, a skeleton (part and counterpart of complete male). Its type locality is Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection), which is in an Arnsbergian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana.

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of United States (7: Montana collections)
