Type specimen: USNM 237207, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is White Oak Landing, Zone 25, which is in a Messinian offshore sandstone in the Eastover Formation of Virginia.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at White Oak Landing, Zone 25
