Type specimen: IVPP V15542.1-6, a skeleton. Its type locality is Kuanti Formation, Qujing County, Eastern Yunnan Province, which is in a Ludlow marine siltstone/shale in the Kuanti Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Kuanti Formation, Qujing County, Eastern Yunnan Province
