Type specimens:

  • Aspanlestes aptap: CCMGE 4/12176, a mandible (right dentary fragment with p4-5 m1-2). Its type locality is CDZh-17a, Dzharakuduk II, Kulbeke, which is in a Turonian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan.
  • Zhelestes bezelgen: CCMGE 1/12455, a maxilla (maxilla with P5, M1, 2). Its type locality is CBI-14, Dzharakuduk II, which is in a Turonian/Turonian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

• Cretaceous of Uzbekistan (7 collections)
