Type specimens:

  • Arganodus dorotheae: UMMP 7324, a tooth
  • Ceratodus crosbiensis: UMMP 9634, a tooth (left palatal tooth plate). Its type locality is Walker's Tank, TMM 41966, which is in a Norian terrestrial horizon in the Tecovas Formation of Texas.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution:

• Triassic of United States (8: New Mexico, Texas collections)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
