Type specimen: Geologischen Instituts Hamburg (unnumbered), a partial skull (distal end of a rostrum). Its type locality is Rio Acre, which is in a Tortonian fluvial-deltaic siliciclastic in the Solimoes Formation of Brazil.

• Miocene of Brazil (2 collections), Venezuela (1)

• Eocene to Pliocene of Brazil (1)
