Type specimen: AMNH 30043, a skull (nearly complete skull). Its type locality is Oued Zem or Ouled Abdoun Basin Bothremys maghrebiana, which is in a Danian marine phosphorite in Morocco.
Ecology: amphibious omnivore
Distribution:
• Paleocene of Morocco (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
