Type specimen: DNHM 2455/6, a skeleton (nearly complete specimen with feathers split between a slab and a counterslab). Its type locality is Lingyuan City, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale/mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lingyuan City
