Type specimen: USNM 330882, a valve (Intermediate valve). Its type locality is USNM725d, Hill 4402, Baylor Mountains, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer
