Type specimens:
- Chedighaii barberi: FMNH P26055, a shell (nearly complete shell)
- Podocnemis alabamae: FMNH P27370, a shell (a nearly complete shell with pelvis). Its type locality is G. S. Moore Farm, which is in a Santonian carbonate limestone in Alabama.
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (8: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina collections)
Total: 8 collections including 9 occurrences
