Belongs to Cowiella according to I. Hinz 1987
Sister taxa: Cowiella granulata, Cowiella undulata, Cowiella verrucata
Type specimen: UB 35, an other. Its type locality is Horizon Ac2 (Callavia Limestone/Sandstone), Comley Quarry, Comley, which is in a Branchian carbonate limestone in the Lower Comley Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: facultatively mobile shallow infaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Cambrian of the United Kingdom (4 collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
