Belongs to Captorhinikos according to E. C. Olson 1970
Sister taxa: Captorhinikos chozaensis, Captorhinikos valensis
Type specimen: FMNH UR 1250, a skull (skull and part of right lower jaw). Its type locality is Norman, which is in a Kungurian fluvial-lacustrine shale/shale in the Hennessey Formation of Oklahoma.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-herbivore
Distribution: found only at Norman
