Sister taxon: Palaeohypsodontus zinensis
Type specimen: PIN 473-110, a mandible. Its type locality is Tatal Gol, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution:
• Oligocene of China (1 collection), Mongolia (1)
