Type specimen: AMNH 19138, a mandible (sin. with p4-m3). Its type locality is 15 miles east of Loh, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: semifossorial insectivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Mongolia (4 collections)

• Oligocene of China (3), Kazakhstan (2), Mongolia (21)

Total: 30 collections each including a single occurrence
