Type specimen: BP/1/5243, a partial skull. Its type locality is Dracovenator type, farm Upper Drumbo (BPi), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial sandstone in the Elliot Formation of South Africa.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:
