Type specimen: BM(NH) 37987IHEC 186, an egg. Its type locality is Hare-Bushes Quarry, stage 4, which is in a Bathonian open shallow subtidal carbonate in the Bath Oolite Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at Hare-Bushes Quarry, stage 4
