Type specimen: SFMCV-0024, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Shinshushinmachi, which is in a Messinian marginal marine horizon in the Gonda Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Shinshushinmachi
