Type specimen: AMNH 19156, a maxilla (upper jaw with p2-m1; m3 doubtfully associated). Its type locality is Ergilin Dzo [AMNH], which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia.
