Type specimen: MUCHPv-142, a partial skeleton (articulated skeleton including posterior portion of skull and partial axial, forelimb, and hindlimb elements). Its type locality is Boca del Sapo, Universidad Nacional del Comahue, which is in a Santonian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Bajo de la Carpa Formation of Argentina.
