Type specimen: MMP 1047, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is 15 km N Mar del Plata, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in the Vorohué Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial carnivore

Distribution: found only at 15 km N Mar del Plata
