Type specimens:

  • Dolichorhynchops osborni: KUVP 1300, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton). Its type locality is east of Wallace (PROXY), which is in a Campanian marine chalk in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.
  • Polycotylus osborni:

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (1: Northwest Territories collection), United States (6: Kansas, South Dakota, Wyoming)
