Where: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada (53.3° N, 60.3° W: paleocoordinates 36.5° S, 71.0° W)
• coordinate based on political unit
• local area-level geographic resolution
When: Bonnia-Olenellus trilobite zone, Forteau Formation, Dyeran (515.3 - 511.2 Ma)
• The formation encompasses two series: lower series - begins stratigraphically only a few meters above the top of the underlying Bradore Sandstone; upper - biostromal series with less pronounced ""reef"" characteristics that occur and seperated from lower series by about 20m of interbedded siltstones, shales and sandstones. AGE: Waucoban; refined by A. Hendy (6/2009) on the basis of biostratigraphic data (= Bonnia-Olenellus zone).
