• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From terrace deposits overlying the Pisco Fm (early Middle Miocene-Late Pliocene). AGE: Late Pliocene in text, on the basis of molluscan biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From about 130 m above base of section, in mixture of sand, boulders, and cobbles.

• ENVIRONMENT: Not discussed in text, but appears to be from very shallow marine siliciclastic setting.
