• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Caloosahatchee Fm, which is in this section overlain by the Fort Thompson Fm (Late Pleistocene). AGE: Assigned to Early Pleistocene (A. Hendy, 2007). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From Unit 4, a 10 ft thick sandy marl.

Environment/lithology: coastal; poorly lithified, shelly/skeletal, gray, green, sandy marl

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine, siliciclastic.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Marl, sandy, slightly micaceous, harder, and more calcareous than bed above, mottled gray-green. LITHIFICATION: Poorly-lithified, based on facies description.
