When: Manchar Formation, Serravallian (13.8 - 11.6 Ma)

• believed to have come from the same c. 40 m stratigraphic interval in the middle of the section yielding collections 5, 4, 6, 15, and 16 of Raza et al.

•"more than 13 my old" and substantially less than "15 or 16 my old" (probably equivalent to Serravallian)

• member-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: fluvial; silty sandstone

• this part of the section consists almost entirely of "sandstone , often silty" that is "frequently trough cross-bedded"
