Environment/lithology: fine channel fill; coarse-grained sandstone and ferruginous, carbonaceous claystone

• "water covered mud on the edge of a sandbar"
• coarse-grained sandstones and coal-bearing beds of the formation in this region. Tracks preserved in a "clay ironstone". Mud described as "very organic."
