Environment/lithology: "floodplain"; fine-grained sandstone

• "primarily laminated fine sands with a moderate amount of organic material. There is evidence of some water currents (cross-bedding) and multiple influxes of sediment (high energy. May have been close to a river that flooded the area periodically."
