Builjasutuin-Khuduk [SMPE] (PIN coll. 4227) (Cretaceous of Mongolia)

Where: Ovorhangai, Mongolia (45.4° N, 101.7° E: paleocoordinates 46.5° N, 101.7° E)

• layers 2 and 5, not separated in paper

•= Dushih-Ula Fm. = Dushihin Fm.

Environment/lithology: lacustrine; concretionary, calcareous claystone and concretionary, brown, gray, green, blue, calcareous claystone

• 3 m thick layer of dark clay with large flattened lime concretions. Within is a lens of lighter grayish-brown clay with green and blue spots and small lime concretions. In the lens is also an inclusion of blue, pale purple-spotted aleurite.
