When: Middle Pleistocene (0.8 - 0.1 Ma)
• Oldest Arvicola cantianus fauna, Middle Middle Pleistocene, Latest Cromerian - correlated with interglacial IV, roughly 0.4Ma. Material has been collected from a variety of units, but for the mammals they are all regarded as the same faunal unit. Several specimens in units G and F refit together. Mollusca have been subdivided but are not given here.
Environment/lithology:
Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils
Preservation: anthropogenic
Collection methods: Mollusca collected but not listed here. Site discovered after pumice extraction in 1982 and excavated between 1982 and 1990.
