Where: Lake and Peninsula County, Alaska (56.8° N, 157.8° W: paleocoordinates 70.4° N, 128.1° W)

When: Chignik Formation, Late/Upper Campanian to Late/Upper Campanian (83.5 - 66.0 Ma)

• found throughout section along coastal outcrops

Environment/lithology: paralic; fine-grained, gray siltstone and fine-grained, gray sandstone

• "tidal flat or near shore deposits"
• "The tracks are in a light- to medium-gray, fine-grained sandstone...There is a medium gray siltstone layer approximately 1 cm thick between the exposed track and the rest of the boulder. The tracks preserved in the sandstone are interpreted as undertracks, with the actual track preserved in the siltstone interbed.
