Environment/lithology: marine; unlithified, graded, bioturbated, fine-grained, gray, green sandstone and unlithified, phosphatic claystone

• This unit consists of olive gray graded beds of bioturbated fine sand having clay beds containing foraminifers, phosphorite, and few bone fragments. Mollusks were encountered at several levels. According to calcareous nannoplankton, these occurrences belong to nannoplankton Zone NN20 (Geophyrocapsa oceania Zone) of late Pleistocene age.
